Out of order

On Coral Island's main beach the're various places which have seen their best days:

An ex-restaurant-bar

A small Bhuddist shrine out of use

An ex-restaurant?

Beach chairs left behind

Extremely versatile cell phone

This video from last year by the Dutch Groenbrothers makes me laugh each time.
The Sumsing Turbo 3000 Xi Multitask:

Swing FAIL

Seen on Coral Island, Phuket.
The tree came down or the sand came up?

The latter is true.

New anti-smoking photo

I just felt like doing a little Photoshopping.
The warning text says something like; "Smoking gives you a very bad breath" and in fact the dead fish which washed ashore in front of the bungalow today did so too..

Today's forecast: Strong wind and showers

Today on Coral Island, Phuket

6:45am: A dog is barking to the high waves.

9:45am: Strong wind and showers.

10:15am: A big branch of a tree in front of the bungalow broke and fell on the beach.
It is quickly cut it into peaces and removed.

Life on Coral Island

Besides one resort with a staff of about 50 people, permanently living here, the secluded Coral Island is inhabited by:

Hornbills and monkeys

Varans (giant lizards) and snakes

A few stray cats and dogs

And tigers?
No, this is a stone toy I found near the swimming pool
The first three photo's were taken today, the photo's of the animals last March.

No toilet paper

Seen in Phuket, a bit confusing.

Or am I supposed to bring the paper over here?

Phuket Tsunami Roll

Seen in Phuket at Easy Wok, a Japanese/Chinese restaurant chain.

The name seems not very appropriate considering the 8000+ victims
and the survivors of the tsunami which rolled over the shores of the peninsula in 2004.

Wrong viewpoint

This was what I saw from where I was sitting, but in fact the sign at the shop reads Canali.
In the shop you can order tailor made imitations of many famous fashion brands.
